I had a 2 hour class with Rafael and it was fantastic. I took the class in the morning and my test was at noon. I used all his tips and the examiner complimented me afterwards.

I highly recommend instructor Rafael Garcia from First Route Driving School London. He is an outstanding professional and a very kind person. He took the time to show me every possible scenario that I could face, not only related to the test context, but also to real life, which definitely made me a better driver in Canada. I am truly thankful for having the opportunity to learn with him. Rafael's feedback during the classes were so respectful. They helped me to feel comfortable and confident to perform a great test. I met First Route Driving School London after failing in getting a G license. Taking the classes with the driving instructor Rafael was essential to build my confidence in driving, get familiar with all driving rules and be calm to perform the test. I also took a final class 1-hour before my road test and we made exactly the same path that I made later during my test; coincidentally, I parallel parked with the same car as I had trained before with Rafael. I got my G2 WITH NO MISTAKES!!!Rafael is very respectful, patient and helped build my confidence behind the wheel. Excellent service! I had a few lessons that were enough to get my G2 drive licence. The instructor Rafael is great, he is patient and made a review of specific techniques, defensive driving skills and I felt prepared and confident for my road test. I really recommend it!

Rafael was my driver instructor for first route, and he went out of his way to make time for me to practice for my test! He really made me feel comfortable about driving, teaching me all road rules and guidelines to be the safest and most cautious driver I can be! He even helped me through all the possible practice routes for the G2 test which I passed first try! I wouldn’t be the driver I am without Rafael’s help, he’s an amazing teacher!

Rafael Magalhaes

Rafael joined the First Route Driving School team in 2020, teaching out of Kemptville originally and now working in London.

“Being a driving instructor wasn’t something I grew up thinking about. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to try this career out and realized that teaching driving skills and safety was exactly what I wanted. Seeing the students improve their skills in each class and become safe drivers is truly rewarding. Having them pass the MTO road test is just the icing on the cake.”

Driving is my passion and I like to teach driving lessons. I have an ACZ licence, did long haul trucking, and worked in a drive test centre as a driver examiner. I teach students to drive with confidence.
